Safeguarding
Port of Falmouth Sailing Association (PoFSA) is committed to safeguarding children taking part in its activities from physical, sexual or emotional harm, neglect or bullying. This commitment extends to adults at risk.
In order to assist all volunteers and staff in identifying the requirements of the safeguarding policy, PoFSA has issued two explanatory documents:
- Children safeguarding policy and procedure which provides an overview,
- and the Safeguarding and child protection policy statement which includes more detailed instruction and various relevant forms, e.g. for parental permission.
The PoFSA Welfare Officer is: PoFSA Hon. Secretary.
Data Protection
The Association's Privacy Policy outlines how PoFSA collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data of its members, race participants, and other associated individuals. It specifies the types of information collected, the purposes for processing, and the legal basis for doing so. The policy also details measures to protect personal data, conditions for sharing data with third parties, and the duration for which data is retained. Additionally, it explains individuals' rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including access, correction, erasure, and objection to data processing.
Contact information for PoFSA and the Information Commissioner's Office is provided for inquiries or complaints.
Environmental Policy
The Environmental Policy is currently under review and will be published here once it is ratified.
Common Entry Form (Village Regattas)
In order to ease burden on the Village Regatta committees, we have a template 'entry form' in which may be downloaded and edited as required. Individual regattas are free to use it or devise their own. Template
Leaflet
Each year we produce a neatly folded A3 leaflet which attempts to summarise the year's events including the village regattas as well as special events and championships. It acknowledges our sponsors and supporters. It also provides a handy spotting reference to three of our iconic racing fleets: the Sunbeams, the Gaffers, and the Falmouth Working Boats. Leaflet
