falmouth sailing

Dates for 2018:  12th to 18th AUGUST

We would like to thank all our sponsors for 2017 who made this week such a successful event.

Check here to find out everything that you need to know if you want to race or view the results during the week. All the necessary documents allowing you to enter your boat will be made available here.

Racing will begin on Sunday 12th August and continue until Saturday 18th August.

The main regatta is a series of races, with courses laid in Falmouth Bay and the Carrick Roads by qualified Race Officers. All classes of boat – expert or beginner – are catered for.

Each club hosts one of the days, Sunday – Helford River SC, Monday – Mylor YC, Tuesday – Restronguet SC, Thursday – Royal Cornwall YC, St Mawes SC on Friday and finally Flushing SC on Saturday! The host club provides teas for competitors and entertainment into the early evening.

Bay Fleet competitors will race on Wednesday in the Champagne Race. The Champagne Race is a longer race in Falmouth and Veryan Bays.

The Red Arrows, the RAF Aerobatic Team, will begin their display around 18.15 on the Tuesday. Note this is a different day from past years. The display is followed by fun events in the inner harbour by Custom's House Quay.

Prizes will be awarded after each day's racing.

PoFSA works closely with the Falmouth Shoreside Committee. Throughout the week this committee organises an extensive programme of events to suit all tastes and ages in Falmouth Town.

Come and join us in the racing, or watch the action take place in one of the most beautiful sailing grounds in the world!

In 2019, Falmouth Week will run from 11th to 17th August. The dates for 2020 are 9th to 15th August.
