Flushing Sailing Club

On behalf of myself and the Volunteer Officers, Committee members and helpers, we extend to you a warm welcome to Flushing Sailing Club.

The Club was formed in 1921 for the benefit of the residents of Flushing Village and the leisure sailors of The Port Of Falmouth. We have a long history supporting the unique Sunbeam Fleet, whose emblem adorns our pennant. That association and involvement with the unique Falmouth Working Boats confirms the club as one of the mainstays of The Port of Falmouth.

Our club position at the entrance to the Penryn river and the Inner Harbour of Falmouth ensures our continued success in providing the very best of class racing in the Carrick Roads, both Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. We cater for 9 separate Classes of racing yachts from early April right through till Late October, early November. This year the Club is proud to be hosting the Half Ton Classics Cup between 15th & 19th August.

On Tuesday evenings throughout the Sailing season a well stocked bar provides well earned refreshment while hot sailing suppers are served by our caterers from the kitchen. On Saturdays teas and home made cakes are provided with a bar on demand.

Throughout the winter months the Club is open on Tuesday evenings with a wide variety of talks and presentations from butterflies and bees to Sailing and cookery demonstrations.

The skippers and owners of the yachts are always keen to attract new enthusiastic people to crew. No previous experience is required, just a willingness to participate and enjoy. FSC offer membership to all at great value. Use of the Clubhouse and launch facilities are provided for crews and members alike.

Sailing is not the preserve of just a few. FSC encourage every corner of society through organised sailing “Family” days to show what a great sport and a fantastic place we have to sail.
